Very comfortable. Good stability without sacrificing mobility.

This over the shoe ankle support is exactly what I have been looking for. It fits on easily and is light weight. None of the other braces I have tried have been this comfortable or supportive. Thank you.

My dad has been struggling with hereditary neuropathy, especially in his left foot, causing him to supinate and roll his left ankle. This brace is allowing him to walk independent of a cane again. He really loves the support it gives! Great product.

This thing works exactly as promised! Mine isn't an ankle injury, but rather a lower back injury that allows my right ankle to roll every time I step on uneven surfaces. Walking in the grass was virtually impossible because of the lumps/molehills. The Tayco brace allows me to walk normal again for the first time in years, wish I had bought one sooner.

Bit difficult to put on but still great product. My age and hand problems makes it difficult to get it properly positioned

This device is a big improvement from wearing a boot. The strap over the foot is short and I had to sew on additional Velcro to use it. I wear Hokas that have a big sole. I also am taping my ankle right now as I don’t feel secure enough in just the brace.

The recovery brace is amazing! Last year I had to order one for my left foot and this year for the right. Though there was some delay in delivery, I was sent a brace in the interim until the one I ordered arrived. I was well provided for by Tayco and recommend not just their braces but the staff altogether. In crucial times where we look to companies and products to help us with pain and healing, it is very reassuring when you can reach out and speak with a representative.

I am a 39 year old man and sustained a traumatic displaced trimalleolar fracture of my right ankle. I underwent ORIF receiving nine screws, a plate, and a syndesmosis wire. I was six weeks non weight bearing and after being cleared to weight bearing as tolerated, I quickly discovered that the CAM boot is what I wasn't going to be able to tolerate. Unaffected side hip pain due to uneven sole stack height, painful pressure on the surgical scars, and plantar pain due to lack of foot bed support all after only a few days in the CAM boot. I am a Nurse and work on my feet so this was unsustainable. I discovered the Tayco RecoverX brace while searching for alternatives, and it is a game changer. Immediate solutions to all the previous CAM boot problems and I have been able to return to work without delay. I am infinitely more mobile than the CAM boot would allow as well. I have now introduced this brace to my surgeon and physical therapy team, both were unaware of this alternative and say they will be recommending it to their patients going forward. Coworkers and friends that have seen it and how quickly it allows return to normal activities, especially those that have had the misfortune of wearing a CAM boot in the past, are impressed and wish that this option was available for them. My wife had a stroke and left her left side affected to where her left ankle would turn out with each step. This made walking very difficult and a couple of times she has fallen once breaking her left arm. This ankle brace keeps her ankle from turning out now and has improved her walking ability with assistance from a walker.

The brace fits well and is comfortable.

* UPDATE * After posting online about brace having straps a bit short, TayCo immediately contacted me and made things right. They are sending me a larger brace at no cost, great customer service. I now rate my brace and service to 5-stars. Thanks Garrett and Gavin!

I bought the 7-9 Male brace and wear an 8.5” Wide shoe and it will only fit on my tennis shoes as my foot is still swollen from surgery, and is way too short with any of my boots. Rubber strap and bottom velocity strap needs to be longer, at least for my situation.

I think this brace will work but I’m concerned about the strap that goes under the shoe. I’ll be wearing the brace with shoes that don’t have cleats, if the strap wears out can the strap be replaced?

After surgery on my ankle my doctor recommended an over the shoe brace. I chose the Tayco Brace. It helps support my ankle yet lets in flex. I have only been using it a little over a week but am pleased with the way it works. once fitted for the shoe it's easy on and off.

Easy-On Sports Brace - AthleticX Brace

Much smaller than a walking boot, this brace allows the comfort and convenient of wearing regular shoes, yet still achieving the fixed 90 degree angulation needed for healing. In addition, it can be adjusted to allow limited movement for transitioning into full articulation. (Great for driving, whereas a standard walking boot may be too wide to hit the brake pedal without also simultaneously pressing the accelerator.

the velcro straps are not long enough

I had a classic walking boot for a fractured ankle, and developed SERIOUS sciattica from being off kilter with the boot too high. The walking boot was so very uncomfortable, I was in complete agony. The Tayco over the shoe brace provided some relief. I wore the regular boot for 7 weeks before getting the Tayco, not sure if the Tayco would have provided enough support the first couple of weeks, but it seems to do the trick for this stage of my recovery. I'm 57 so I heal a little slower than younger people, 10-12 weeks. Anyway, Tayco was a life saver! I still have sciattica but it is getting much better wearing an even brace with my other foot.

Broke my foot 8 weeks ago and was in a boot. In the 7th week I began using the TayCo Brace and was able to participate in athletics again. The brace gave me the confidence that my ankle would remain stable.

Reach back out in a few weeks

I ordered this brace a size smaller. Th reason is that I attached my first brace to my baseball plate shoes. The one size smaller works on my regular shoes better. Still the best brace I’ve ever worn.

Great, easy to use.light weight and comfor

It is pricey, but we like that it fits on the outside of my daughter’s street shoes. Provides great ankle support but allows more normal movement for walking.
