I recently purchased the Tayco Recover X Brace to wear instead of my very uncomfortable AFO. The Recover X Brace is super comfortable and easy to put on and gives me the stability of my AFO. I am very pleased with the brace and will probably buy another one just for outside yard work and chores. Excellent Brace!

My weak ankle is a result of Guillan Barre syndrome. I could not walk on uneven ground without risking a fall. I feel safe again! I may get one for my left ankle and try to golf again soon!

I have a mild drop foot from back surgery, torn ankle ligaments and a couple of broken toes. I’m 67 years old and am an active person so I got this brace in hopes of gaining some stability in my ankle/foot so I could remain as active as possible while it all heals. They mentioned that this could help with mild drop foot but I was skeptical of that and wanted it mainly for stabilization anyway. I am pleasantly surprised that it has indeed helped with my drop foot as well as providing me with the necessary stability to remain active. I would imagine most of you have tried several different in the shoe braces as did I and none of them gave me anything close to what I was looking for. Everyone’s injuries are different, but at least this Tayco brace is working very well for me and I hope it does for others who read this.

An old injury to an unresolved ankle ligament resulted in supination of my right foot, which led to a chronic hip and lower back tightness and pain (Ruffet's Ankle-Spine Spine Syndrome). Standard physical therapy and various ankle braces didn't work. I adopted the 8-minute Kinetic Chain Reset, which helped but I needed better ankle stabilization for walking and hiking. I have been using the Tayco brace for 2 weeks and it has been a game changer for me. I went from boot to no boot, and had issues and a small reinjury. The Tayco brace gives me perfect lateral support and has allowed me to rehab while being safely mobile. I am thankful for this brace!!!

After a year of Non Weight bearing and finding out my ankle is trash I struggled to do the things I wanted. Physical therapy helped strengthen my foot and ankle, however it was inevitable for my ankle to roll with any misstep. From my 1st time wearing it I noticed a huge Inprovement in stability and found it quite comfortable. I would definitely recommend to my friends and family.

For stability this brace works as or maybe better than my custom in shoe brace. The only thing it doesn't help with is my Achilles pain. Other than that it worked well while I was training my beagles in the field.

I had a total ankle replacement/repair 8 weeks ago, now wearing this brace as I rehab and to prevent further injury. Easy to use and very sturdy on the ankle. Highly recommend to allow healing and develop strength. Cant wait to get back to playing tennis, pickleball, volleyball, and basketball ,as well as yardwork!

I will soon undergo a full ankle replacement. I am currently bone on bone all the way around, as my surgeon and I discussed the procedure. I mentioned to him that I wished I could do one last hike with my son before I was down for a few months. He said he had a brace that I should try, and he had his staff bring one in for fitting. Boy, has it been a game changer. It has significantly reduced my pain and increased my confidence, especially in my turns. It provides wonderful support, and I have hiked in it comfortably. I am looking forward to that 45-mile backpacking trip with my son before I get my ankle replaced.

This is a fantastic brace. Easy to apply to gym shoe and adjusts quickly. I e used with both bars in and top one removed. Minimal increase in pain with increased range of motion. Highly recommend this brace for peroneal tendon recovery

Much better for recovery than the boot the ortho provides. Enhances mobility and stability. So happy I ordered one. Definitely feels like my recovery is progressing much better and I’m walking with a much more normal gait.

I didn't think it was going to make a big difference but I was wrong. I have been able to walk and move around with the RecoverX brace with a lot less pain. I have been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in both my ankles and had difficulty walking. I'm up to the point where I'm looking towards ankle replacement surgery. The braces have made a difference for me.

After a year of considering the tayco brace, I finally purchased one and I’m very happy with it. I’ve had it for less than a week and so far I’ve used it 3 times to help my walking. It has stabilized my severe ankle roll by at least 50%. I’m now more confident that I can walk without the risk of falling from the debilitating ankle roll I have suffered with for years.

The Walking Boot Recovery X has been an excellent device to help recover from an ankle fracture and sprain. I am able to walk without a hip hike. I was on crutches and scooter for awhile but the brace allowed me to walk short distances (as I was permitted). I wear it now, walking without assistant device for whatever distance I need to go.

These braces help stabilize my ankles wonderfully and are comfortable to wear. My only frustration is getting the Velcro straps from sticking to themselves when putting the braces on.

I wanted to first say thank you for creating such an incredible ankle brace! You may not ever see the results, but please know that I'm a big fan!
I tore a tendon on the inside of my ankle jogging one morning several years ago and actually caused my arch to collapse. The doctors put me in a boot with hopes it would heal vs surgery.
Fast forward 6 years later, the damage grew and basically was rolling off of my ankle. So I went through major surgery to rebuild the 2 main tendons on the inside of my foot, rebuild the achilles tendon, reposition my foot back where it should set and clean out calcium buildup and other joint issues. Quite a journey but needed done before I eventually rolled off my foot and would have to fuze it all together.
I'm 58years old and never thought I would be in this position because I've been athletic most of my life. It was just a fluke that the tendon snapped while I was running and had to go under surgery to correct the overall damage.
That was 4 months ago. I transitioned to the big walking boot and all was going great so I ordered your boot to help with the transition out of the boot. It's amazing!
I met with my doctor today, she's never seen the boot but approved the use and transition out of the main boot to just the walking shoe. This will help on longer journeys, hiking or beach walks too.
All in all, the fit is incredible and the stability it provides is exactly what I needed. I'm adding a couple of photos to see my journey but please know that you ah e a great product and my only wish is that I found it many years ago vs makeshift boots or braces.

The walking boot I was given after ORIF surgery for a bimalleolar fracture was heavy, awkward and uncomfortable. I bought the TayCo RecoverX Brace as a lighter alternative, and then asked the surgeon if I could ditch the torture boot and replace it with the RecoverX brace. (Which, voila! , I then pulled out of my bag and handed to him) He was completely on board right away and was impressed that rather than just complaining, I had found an effective and safe alternative on my own.
I wear a lace up brace under my shoe in addition to the TayCo brace sometimes, but to protect sensitive surgical scars rather than for lack of stability. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add more and softer padding at the ankle.
The TayCo brace has given me great ankle support for return to work, starting weight bearing, walking, climbing and descending stairs. I'm sure all would have been more difficult with the walking boot. Hoping to have made enough progress to remove the top pins by the end of the month.

I use it for golf and walking my only thought is the racket strap on bottom is how long will it last before it brakes
