Great idea and lightweight

The brace is lightweight and very convenient to fit over existing shoes but did not offer the support or strength I desired to move from a boot to take care of my torn Achilles tendon. I'm sure it works fine for an ankle injury.

Review of recent braces purchase

I am a long time TayCo user and advocate. I have written a very positive testimonial to the excellence of TayCo products and the staff at TayCo. Unfortunately the ones I just purchased did not work out. The lower strap continually came undone. I tried multiple means of securing it. I think my size 14 EEE was too much for the style of the brace. I continue to use my Acute XAB Braces and they are wonderful. TayCo braces, as I indicated in my testimonial, greatly enhanced my quality of life.....giving me pain-free mobility.

Support without the pressure

Besides having a grade 2 sprain of the talofibular tendon, I also havedamage to the Medial Talar Dome. The ankle braces I was using directly on my ankle applied pressure to those areas and it was painful after a while. Your brace supports the ankle higher up and has no pressure on the Dome. Its a lot more comfortable! Walked a mile and a half yesterday with only a little discomfort at the end. Note, it also fits both my running shoe and my hiking boots which is great!

TayCo Sports Brace

This is the 2nd brace I've bought because I truly Love this brace. It gives my ankle the necessary support as well as piece of mind. The convenience of having it outside the shoe makes wearing it extremely comfortable. The support is amazing! Great Brace!

Did not work for me

I have peroneal tendonitis and posterior tibial tendonitis, and was advised to wear a boot. I tried this, hoping to avoid leg-length discrepancy problems. However, when I wore the Tayco brace instead of the walking boot, I experienced pain in my heel, so I had to go back to the boot. It was worth a try. Still giving 4 stars because it seems to do what it claims to do, which is support the ankle well. There must be something the boot is giving me that the Tayco brace can't.
