Avid Hiker finally gets great support

I cannot say enough about the Tyco x athletic brace. After having Achilles surgery and then finding out I had a peroneal tendon tear I thought I would have to cancel my upcoming hiking trip in Joshua Tree. I knew I would be climbing boulders and hiking long miles and needed something to support my ankle so it would not roll and tear further. This brace was exactly what I needed and so I ordered it. It offered great stability and supported my ankle perfectly and comfortably. No rolls or pain of any kind while using this. It also was hinged at the ankle thus giving me the full range of motion I needed. You can’t go wrong if you purchase this and will be glad if you do.

Inconclusive

I've been waiting to review this item but I keep getting overwhelmed with emails from the company asking for a review. I'll give it a shot...

I bought this for my father who has problems with his ankle. It arrived without the straps that are needed to secure the apparatus to his leg. We contacted the company, unfortunately the straps could not arrive before he left for a three month trip to the Dominican Republic. I desperately wanted him to have it before he left for the trip so he could be more comfortable. I guess it just wasn't in the cards. In fact it has been well over a month and the straps still have not arrived.

I do not know if it works well, or if it even works at all. He'll be back in April. Hopefully the straps will arrive by then. We'll give it a shot. Oh well...

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Richard. We’re sorry for the frustration. Receiving a brace without the necessary straps is not the experience we want to provide. We did speak directly with your father and offered to rush replacement straps. At his request, we agreed to send the straps upon his return from the Dominican Republic in early April. We'll follow-up via email with action steps.

A great way to stay mobile

I have severely injured my ankle and being immobilized is not an option. This recovery brace is the only way I can be on my feet and have little to no pain.
