Help people function after an ankle or hindfoot injury

I bought this because I have Charcot foot disability. My foot is always turning on it's side and I'm walking on my ankle. This helps keep my foot in the upright position and has been a big help.

The TayCo brace is very well thought out, engineered and finished beautifully. I t was comfortable everywhere except where I have a metal plate and seven screws in my ankle from a skiing accident last winter. Not sure it will work for me but would highly recommend for anyone needing ankle support

Meets and exceeds my needs. I use it to keep from rolling over on my left foot while walking. Better than custom carbon AFO with struts that go inside shoe and wore blisters. Love this product, Thanks

My doctor had recommended the RecoverX brace for my partially torn tendon, since the regular ortho boot that I tried at first, didn’t work out (causing lower back, hip & knee discomfort…). I have no idea how the boot would have affected the healing process vs. the brace, but the brace was a great improvement in terms of comfort, and it seems to have done its job. And on top of that, Tayco has great customer service. I needed two new straps for my brace, which were sent immediately without any additional costs. Thanks for an overall positive experience!

I've tried every ankle brace I can find. This is without a doubt the best!!

Very easy to put on and take off! Fits all my shoes and boots, I don’t need to squash a lace up brace in the shoe. Works great with a taped ankle for extra support. Much more flexible front-to back than a lace-up brace.

This brace allows the foot to move up & down for walking but prevents sideway collapse. Fitting to the shoe verses to the foot is better allowing easy on and off of the same shoes normally worn.

Walking Boot and AFO Alternative - RecoverX Brace

A quick success story share, our son suffered an ankle injury that required surgery. During his rehab process and ultimately a return to sports he began to think of ways to create "a better brace". I broke my ankle 3.5 months ago and was non weight bearing for a good portion of that time. Now that I'm able to begin walking and switching between a boot and my shoe, the boot that the doctor gave me was really starting to agitate my foot. I felt that it was doing more harm than good. My foot felt a lot better in a shoe, but my ankle needed some extra support. I was doing a lot of online research for other options when I found this Tayco AthleticX Brace. I went with the Athletic Brace because I felt that I would like the ability of it to fit over hiking boots, etc. It gives my ankle enough extra support that I'm completely comfortable walking on uneven ground in campgrounds, my yard, etc. With just a shoe, my ankle was swelling like crazy and getting sore. With this brace, the swelling is almost gone and soreness is at a minimum. I'm not to the point of doing long hikes, but I'm sure it'll be perfect for that once I am healed enough!

This product is well made, supportive, and easy to put on and take off. It seems sturdy.
